In addition to representing K-12 schools, Ruiz & Sperow attorneys are committed to assisting and supporting institutions of higher education in a variety of ways. Our attorneys are familiar with the unique regulatory and institutional frame works of California community college districts, the State of California university system, and private institutions.

Ruiz & Sperow attorneys recently represented Peralta Community College District in a complex disability discrimination lawsuit by a former dean who alleged that the College District failed to accommodate her disability and failed to participate in an interactive process to determine appropriate accommodations. After a month long jury trial, Ruiz & Sperow attorneys successfully obtained a jury verdict in the College District's favor and a judgment against the former dean.
